Chapter 1

The Story of Lana

~chapter  1~

Once upon a time, in the Land of Two Moons there lived a young elfin girl named Lana. She was extremely beautiful

But, instead of focusing on her appearance such as other girls

of Her age, she was a warrior. She was very limber and quick

which made her hard to catch and hard to hit, she moved so quick that you

almost couldn’t see her. As an experienced archer, Lana carries a bow and 

seventeen arrows on her back in a bag. She also carries five different daggers

and a sword. Even though Lana was disgraced by her family she still continued

to care and fight for them because of the love she has for her family.

Today she goes to training such as any other day, but today something is about

to happen to her that she will treasure for the rest of her life.

right at the crack of dawn, Lana wakes up from her nights sleep exited and well

rested. As no one else in her family is awake she walks to the waterfall to bathe.

Lana first listens to see if any one is there then looks around to make sure her

ears aren’t fooling her. then she takes off her clothes and hangs them on a tree

and gets into the cold water fall. She lets her hair down from the two tight buns

they were rolled in and washes up. When she finishes she looks around again to

make sure no one is around and when she sees and hears no one she quickly

hops out of the waterfall, dries off and puts her clothes on and walks back

home. Lana rolls up her hair into two tight buns and gets her bow and arrows

and starts walking to the archery field where she meets her Master every day for

training. The sun still barely into the sky as she walks to her Master and meets

her. “Good beginnings, Master “she slightly bows in respect,

”How are we to train this day?” Lana asks. Master answers in her feminine yet

strong voice, ”This beginning Lana, I am going to present you with this” she

hands Lana a silver chain with a beautiful purple crystal hanging on it.

Lana gently picks up the crystal and looks at it. ”This crystal will help you control

your magic ,Lana. Please keep it safe and with you at all times.” Lana bows

slightly ”Yes Master, and thank you.” Lana puts the necklace around her neck.

“You are welcome Lana, you may be excused from your training for today, you

have been working all seven days, you deserve some time for yourself.” Lana

bows” thank you Master.” Then she starts back home once again. As she walks

she thinks about her Master “I think Master is the only one who cares for me,

she is like a second mother.” Lana walks home and sits on her bed as she sits,

she pulls out  one of her daggers and a piece of wood. She slowly hollows the

piece of wood so that there is a round hole in the middle then she shapes the

outside of the wood into a round shape. After, she puts some small holes on the

top part of the wooden tube then makes a mouthpiece. Lana finishes making her

new flute then starts to play a soft, sweet song. Afterwards she puts the flute

away. Lana goes and makes herself dinner after the rest of her family eats ,she

says to them” Good endings” and goes back to her room and goes to sleep.

Chapter 2

The Story of Lana

T he next day, Lana has classes to go to, much like school. Lana as usual gets up early and bathes in the waterfall then goes to training. Lana does a few

drills and shoots some targets then goes to Classes. Lana still carrying her bows

and arrows puts them in her small closet at Classes and gets out her books. All

of the girls stared at her with wide eyes and also called her names like “Disgrace”

and “Ugly” while the boys called her names like “Weakling” and “Faker”.

Nobody believed her when she told them she was a warrior, they just laughed at

her. Even her Teachers did not believe her. That made Lana sad. Lana had no

friends at Classes, just peers. It was rare that she talk, few people no she can.

But when she does, it is so quiet that you almost can’t hear it. So the children call

“Mouse” and point at her. A tear will run down her cheek but she shows no sign

of emotion. During Classes today, her Teacher asked the class to stand up one

by one and say their name and favorite pastime. Everybody had done there turn

except for Lana who quietly stood in the corner. Teacher says “small one, its your

turn, please tell us your name and favorite pastime.” Lana nervously looks at

everyone staring at her and nods her head to the teacher.

”…uh m-my name is Lana….” A child in the background yells “ Common Mouse!

(he snickers)”Lana gets more nervous and says in a quiet and shy voice

”uh…a-and my favorite pastime is…h-hunting.” All of the children and the

 Teacher laugh at her.” Small one, you do not have to lie.” her teacher says.

A tear runs down Lana’s cheek ”I-I am not lying Teacher, I like hunting”

They continue to laugh at her. Lana starts to cry, then runs out of the room

She grabs her bag and runs home. Lana sits in her room alone then her Mother

Finds her. “Lana!” Mother scolds. “What are you doing home you should be at

Classes!” Lana looks down at the ground then up at her mother “They were

making fun of me Mother…so I came home,” Mother looks at Lana angrily “you

need to go back to classes right now Lana!” she points to the door. Lana

responds “Alright mother” she picks up her things and walks out the door, but

instead of going to Classes she went to the archery field and shot targets.

When it was the time for her to be back from classes she goes home and starts

on the long list of chores Mother posted up for her to do. Lana starts scrubbing

the floor ,then she hand washed all of the clothes after that, she had to make

dinner for the family, then dinner for herself, she made all the beds ,watered the

garden, harvested, and went fishing. Lana was tired from chores and finally gets

some sleep after a long day. She went to sleep sad and exhausted but she

managed to get at least some rest.

Chapter 3

 The Story of Lana

Today is a day that Lana doesn’t have to go to Classes so she goes to training longer than usual. At the crack of dawn she wakes up and gets ready to

Go and see her master. Lana likes to go see Master she knows that she cares

about her like a daughter and she looks up to Master in many ways. Lana wants

to grow up and be just like Master one day. As she walks she decides to try out

her necklace and hover. She uses her magic to float over the water stream with

out going out of control. “it really does work” she thinks as she glides over the

surface of the water  over to the training grounds to go and meet her master.

“Good beginnings, Master” she says happily. Master has a worried look on her

face and sighs. Lana asks “What worries you Master?”

Master sighs as she pulls out a scroll from her bag and hands it too Lana and

says “This is a copy of the scroll the king had received this morning.”

Lana reads the scroll.

“a war…I haven’t fought in a war before only small battles, Master are you sure

you want me to fight?” Master answers ”you have been training hard for 3,650

moons Lana, I think you can.” All of a sudden Lana gains a lot of confidence

“I have been training hard you are right I can do it!”

Master hugs Lana “I will be right there by your side, now go rest for tomorrow”

“yes Master” she walks home and goes to sleep.

Chapter 4

The Story of Lana

~chapter  4~

This is it, the day that will change Lana’s life forever. Lana wakes up

today, before the sky is lit she puts on her military uniform and grabs her

weapons then goes to meet with the army and Master.

The Leader starts to speak as he walked back and forth examining each warrior

as he walked by. When the rugged man looks at Lana she stood straight up wit a

serious face as he says to her, ”Young one, are you sure you can handle this”

Lana answers with a strong but quiet “No, Leader, but I will try with everything to

do the best I can do” Leader looks at her and bows in show of respect.

“They will strike early so be ready from now till then they could arrive any second

now, have your weapons ready and fire at will only shoot your enemy” Leader

says. Lana gets in position ready to attack she pulls out her bow and arrow.

Lana’s elf ears twich as she hears the enemy approaching from afar and

announces “they are twelve miles away and they are running”

All of the soldiers get in fighting position. And wait until thy see the other

Soldiers coming from over the tall hill.

Leader yells “ATTACK!”

Lana starts running towards the enemy soldiers and shoots one in the

Heart with an arrow then she back flips to dodge an arrow coming at her.

She shoots three arrows and with amazing accuracy hits three enemy soldiers

then she puts her bow on her back and pulls out  two daggers one in each hand 

and stabs an enemy soldier that came up behind her then stabs the one in front

of her in the neck then she jumps high into the air and pulls out her sword and

cuts off the enemy’s head. She runs and dodges nine arrows and a flying dagger

then uses her magic to disappear into a cloud of smoke then poof back

behind the enemies and slash six in the back of the neck with her sword.

Then she runs over to another enemy and kicks him in the back of the neck

making it violently crack then shoves her elbow in the enemy beside her in the

stomach then stabs him wit a dagger. She uses her magic to make fire and sets

to some enemy soldiers. As she uses her magic she gets stabbed in the arm

by a flying dagger. ”Aaaah! Ooooow” she gets back to fighting and tries to forget

about the wound. She sees some of her allies go down and she swiftly uses her

magic to heal them so they can fight again.

Another group of soldiers from the Land of Blue Sun raided the town from

behind. But her group had to stay at the front of the town because that was

where Leader assigned her to be so she continued to fight.

The wound on Lana’s arm started to heal and she had forgot about it!

She looked behind her and all around her then shoots an enemy with an arrow.

A fellow soldier tells her “they are attacking families now! At the other end!”

Lana hears a familiar voice in a scream that sounded painful

Lana cries “MOTHER!”

Chapter 5

The Story of Lana

~chapter  5~

Lana starts running down to her house anxiously to see her mother

Which she heard scream in pain. She cries and screams “Mother! Mother!”,

As she runs home to see what had happen to her family. Lana runs into her

House and sees all of her I sisters and brothers and mother dead in the living

Room. Lana starts crying a horrible sounding cry of sadness. “No no no, Mother

,Father, sisters brothers…they’re gone…forever!” she cries.

Lana ,still crying gets up and walks outside with a serious face  goes back and

fights even harder than before. She would stab anyone that’s an enemy near her

and poison them with poison powder. She still cries as she fights and then she

remembers that she still has Master. Master would take care of her, but then she

hears a thud and a quick sigh and then a deep voice calling her name…it was

Master. Lana runs to Master crying ”Master!”

Master looks at Lana her face was pale” Lana…”

“Yes, Master?” she answers with a tear rolling down her cheek. Master hands

Lana a beautiful dagger engraved with her name on the handle with jewels on it.

“Lana…I wanted …to give…this to you...*cough cough*…after you had finished

your training so here take it you have earned it “she smiles a tired smile as her

eyes began to close ”Good bye…L-Lana…”

Lana cries ”no don’t leave, Don’t Leave!” she cries.

Master’s eyes close as she smiles at Lana and dies peacefully.

Lana screams and cries “NO! Why! Why is this happening!” she says

With her face wet with tears. “I am alone now I am all on my own *sniff sniff*

The only person who really cared for me just died…and my family is dead”

she cries. “I guess I must start a new life out on my own…”

Lana packs up a few things and heads off on a journey to

start a new life….
